  • I love (his) naptime

Life looks a lot different from the last post in February '08...

It's going wellI, but we are facing new circumstances daily as our family dynamics are changing.  Bill no longer is at church 5+ days a week - in addition to trying to cram in all of his other jobs.  Being out in E-town 3 days a week with less pay, but more "experience" has definitely caused us to reevaluate the financial end of things.  The best part of all it is that we actually are going "a" direction instead of "many" directions.  We were feeling pretty stretched in a thousand ways during the past year or so.  He will hopefully have his CPA license by 2010, and this LONG season will be over.

I can hardly comprehend that family member #4 will be here in January.  Folks, that's really not that far away!  I don't know where the first part of the pregnancy went, but the last 3 months are here!  And memories of the end part, you know, the labor part, are all coming back to me now....all pleasant thoughts of course (smirk).  Maybe she'll be smaller than Sam and won't feel like a bowling ball :)  I need to pray more.

Well, the last of the Cherokee Chix is getting married this weekend...woo hoo!  We will be heading to Durham, NC to see Betsy wed Mike in the long-awaited ceremony.  I'm looking forward it with much joy for Betsy.

I guess that's all for now, I've got to make the most of naptime :)

  • Today Sam is 7 months old, and he has his first official truly snotty nose.  What a nice birthday present!  I felt bad because I had to work the first day he's been sick, but dad did a good job of watching him.  The good thing is, other than waking up last night at 12:30, 4:30, etc, he's been in a good mood.  I knew he wasn't feeling well last night when he refused the last few ounces of THE BOTTLE.  He has never in his short life refused THE BOTTLE.  So last night, Bill and I kinda looked at each other like, "what do we do now?"  It's pretty funny what you worry about as new parents.  I just remind myself of my nurse-knowledge....he's breathing, he's not blue, he's not projectile vomiting, he's pooping and peeing....he's fine....don't get freaked out.

So there you go...another episode in a new mom's life.

    peace out.
